Thermal Image Of Improper Furnace Venting

This is a thermal image of the same improper furnace venting showed in this gallery.  Taken from nearly the same angle as the digital image, it shows how and where heat is escaping.  The hottest spot is just to the left of the left-side tubing over the water heater.  That spot is 183 degrees Fahrenheit!  In the corner and at the wall the temperature is 177F.  It is thought that when a double vent tube was installed from the chase to the chimney a disconnection was created inside that chase, which is accounting for the high temperature there.  Overall, the thermal image shows just how dangerous an installation this is, and where the problems are!
